Leather Description:
The 2511 Havana leather used on the Andrew Collection is semi aniline leather. The leather is colored thru and thru and includes a final light coat of polyurethane finish on the surface to improve the wear-ability of the leather. Most common household stains should be easy to clean with the use of a damp cloth and mild soap. You will notice dark and light tone variations in the Havana leather. This effect is called “Sauvage”, and is characteristic of high quality leathers.
Quality Construction:
The true value of this 100% Italian leather collection comes from the quality of its construction. The wooden frame is composed of beech wood and ash, selected from known sources and seasoned for a minimum of 2 years to ensure stability and long term durability. All corners and load bearing areas of the frame are corner blocked for additional strength and durability. The entire frame is then encased with an inch of foam before the leather upholstery is applied – a feature you’ll appreciate when you touch the sides and back and notice the soft yet supportive area behind the leather.
